That's how I feel. And before you even say anything about how cold it is in your neck of the woods...let me explain.
I was born in India...South India - where it DOES NOT get this cold!
I've lived in FL since I was 6
I've lived in Louisiana from the age of 24 to 27
AND I've lived in TX ever since.
These are NOT Freakin' COLD places.
I can never get warm enough it seems. In the spring/summer/fall - I can always cool down (shower, pool, air conditioning etc.) - But, this Cold business...ugh.
AND it's supposed to get colder....in the 20's people....& I am NOT looking forward to it - of course, the girls are - 'cause they think it's gonna SNOW...again....which might be fun....sort of. maybe. we'll see. ;)
So, I need ideas to get warm (other than my lame "gas" fireplace..which puts out NO heat unless I'm standing right in it! lol!).....anyone? Soon, please! :)
Sincerely,
FROZEN GATOR GIRL

2010 and all that Jazz.....
2010 is here. Can you believe it?? Hope everyone had a great Christmas! We did - but, it was very, very busy! - Christmas parties, dinners & Mr. E & I even managed to sneak away without the girls for the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans to watch my beloved Gators kick some Cinncinati butt! :-)
This year has started cold for us here in Houston....kind of the "unknown" for us...I've lived here for almost 8 yrs. now & I don't remember it being this kind of COLD!
The girls went back to school today....they were so excited to see their friends! I was supposed to go to the gym today - but, frankly, it was too damn cold - & I decided to grab a cup of coffee & go window shopping.
While I was driving around, I started thinking about my plans for the year (I'm a planner, remember?!? lol!). So, in a nutshell my plans (in no particular order!):
1. To be a better job of keeping in touch with my family & friends
2. To be more involved (volunteering)
3. To clear out the clutter in my house (do I really need all that crap?)
4. To travel even more...even if it's just a small trip around the corner
5. To find something to do when my Luna starts kindergarten this August (yikes!)
6. To make sure my girls & Mr. E know how much I treasure & love them
7. To take ample time for me
8. To blog more...it really is good therapy for me!
9. To be more patient & understanding
10. To realize that I am ME....and no one, can or will ever change that.
*Sigh* It felt so good to write all that. Do you have any plans for the year?

Merry Christmas Ya'll!
That's our tree this year...we broke down & bought a 9ft., pre-lit wonder. We used to have a fake one - years ago - but, it was literally falling apart. Then, we bought live trees for a few years....LOVED them (but, it bit much on the maintenance & horror for my allergies!)...so, now we have this beauty - that will hopefully last us many years to come!
I've hosted 3 dinners at my house the past 4 days...that's part of the reason I've been M.I.A...all that cooking, drinking, shopping & wrapping that had to be done! ;)
Tomorrow - Christmas Eve - we are going to our Mass (Boo is singing in the choir this year!) & then to a fabulous dinner at the home of some dear friends. Christmas Day - we will open presents & then set off for New Orleans -for the wknd.
Hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas! I treasure each & every one of you! :)
